In this four-week, closed series, a small group of LGBTQQIA+ folks will gather to practice yoga in a mindful way that centers each individual’s power of choice. Participants are offered the opportunity to explore: being in the present moment, making choices, taking effective action, and being open to shared authentic experience.

Many health and relationship struggles are often connected to unresolved trauma, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, relationship stress, and addiction. Through a resilience-centered, trauma-responsive approach to mindful movement and embodied exploration, participants will be invited to come back home to their bodies, to their inherent wholeness, and to their innate ability to heal.

Patty is a community-based healing artist, somatic psychotherapist, experienced yoga teacher, founder/organizer of Yoga for Queers and Misfits, and language justice advocate. As a queer, white, cis fat femme woman committed to collective liberation, Patty shares yoga within an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, body positive and healing justice framework. See Patty’s full bio and training credentials here.
